The Global Freedom Flotilla Coalition announced Saturday that its planned Gaza-bound sailing from Tunisia has been postponed to Wednesday instead of Sunday, citing technical and logistical reasons.
In a video statement posted on the flotilla’s official Facebook page, organizers said the delay was due to the late arrival of ships from Spain, unfavorable weather conditions, and other logistical issues affecting the vessels’ readiness.
The flotilla is now scheduled to depart on Wednesday, September 10, from Sidi Bou Said Port in the Tunisian capital, in coordination with other coalition partners.
The initiative is part of ongoing international efforts to challenge the blockade on Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid to its population.
