Qatar’s capital Doha will host an emergency Arab-Islamic summit on Sunday and Monday to address the fallout of Israel’s airstrike that targeted senior Hamas leaders in the city, the Qatar News Agency announced Thursday.

The Israeli air force carried out what it called a precision strike on Tuesday against Hamas’s top leadership during a meeting in Doha to discuss a proposal by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Gaza.

The summit is expected to explore collective diplomatic measures in response to the attack, which has drawn widespread Arab and international condemnation as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a risk to regional stability.
