Cuba on Saturday rejected U.S. accusations that it was involved in the war in Ukraine or had sent military personnel to the front lines.
In a statement, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said Washington’s claims were “false and malicious,” noting that since September 2023,
Havana has prosecuted around 26 individuals for working as mercenaries.
Kyiv has accused Russia of recruiting Cuban nationals since early 2023, while Havana insists on its strict policy of non-interference in foreign conflicts.
