Four Palestinians were killed on Tuesday by Israeli forces east of Gaza City, marking a new violation of the ceasefire that came into effect five days ago, just one day after the Sharm El-Sheikh peace summit.
Medical sources reported that three of the victims were killed when Israeli drones opened fire on residents inspecting their damaged homes in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Hamas accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement, stating that “the Israeli army killed nine residents of Gaza this morning through shelling and gunfire, constituting a clear breach of the ceasefire,” the Palestinian news network Quds cited Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem.
