Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Wednesday that Tehran will not return to negotiations with Washington as long as the U.S. maintains what he called “unreasonable demands.”

He confirmed that all communication between the two countries has occurred through intermediaries and blamed the stalemate on “excessive U.S. preconditions.”

His remarks follow several failed rounds of indirect dialogue, which ended after limited aerial clashes in June.
