The Israeli occupation carried out an airstrike on Saturday that killed a member of the Islamic Jihad movement in Gaza City.

The occupation also allowed an Egyptian team equipped with specialized tools to assist in the search for the bodies of Israeli hostages — a move Israeli media described as “a concession under U.S. pressure.”

Israeli sources said Washington has urged the occupation to avoid retaliatory actions against Hamas while diplomatic efforts to recover the bodies continue.
