Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have agreed to establish a joint economic cooperation framework aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between the two nations, according to a joint statement released on Tuesday following a meeting in Riyadh between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The statement, carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), said the framework is based on shared economic interests and reflects both countries’ mutual desire to deepen bilateral cooperation.
It added that the framework will include a number of strategic projects across economic, trade, investment, and development sectors, designed to enhance government-level collaboration and advance economic relations between the two nations.
