At least eight Palestinians were killed and more than 15 others injured on Tuesday evening as Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes across Gaza City and the southern city of Khan Younis, according to the Gaza Civil Defense.
Local reports said the strikes targeted the Al-Shati refugee camp, Abu Hasira Street in western Gaza, and the Zeitoun neighborhood in the east. Israeli artillery also shelled areas east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Witnesses reported explosions near Al-Shifa Hospital, Gaza’s largest medical facility, where several missiles struck the rear courtyard, causing damage and sparking panic among patients and staff.
The latest escalation comes amid growing violations of the ceasefire agreement brokered under U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace framework, raising fears of renewed large-scale hostilities in the enclave.
