The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced their acceptance of a “Quad proposal” for a ceasefire aimed at facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid and protecting civilians in conflict zones.
The announcement comes as the Sudanese Doctors’ Network reported that six people were killed and 12 others injured in artillery shelling by the Sudan People’s Movement, allied with the RSF, in the city of Dilling, South Kordofan.
Humanitarian organizations have urged all parties to adhere to the truce to prevent further deterioration of the crisis.
