Energy Minister Abbas Aliabadi said the country faces “its worst drought in six decades,” adding that nighttime water cuts have already begun.
President Masoud Pezeshkian noted that reservoir levels have fallen below 5%, warning of an impending “economic and social collapse” if rainfall does not resume soon.
