China Suspends Ban on Critical Metal Exports to U.S. Until 2026

China’s Ministry of Commerce announced on Sunday it was suspending its export ban on key metals such as gallium, germanium, and antimony to the United States until the end of 2026.

The decision followed talks between Presidents Xi Jinping and Donald Trump in South Korea, where both leaders agreed to ease trade tensions.

The export ban was imposed last year in retaliation for U.S. restrictions on semiconductor exports to China.
