San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao hosted a friendly match on Saturday between the Basque Country team and the Palestinian national team, ending in a 3-0 victory for the home side in a game carrying broad solidarity with Palestine and the Gaza Strip.

The match held sporting and cultural significance beyond the pitch, highlighting support for Gaza, which has been devastated by two years of ongoing conflict, according to the Palestinian Football Association’s official website.

Spanish media reported that all proceeds from the match will be donated to a non-governmental organization carrying out humanitarian work in Gaza.
