An Israeli reserve officer from the Givati Brigade has died after experiencing severe psychological distress connected to his participation in the war in Gaza, Israeli media reported on Thursday.

The newspaper Israel Hayom said the 28-year-old officer had been struggling with intense mental pressure since taking part in the fighting around Gaza-area communities on Oct. 7, 2023, and later during ground operations inside the enclave.
