Ali Larijani, senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, warned that any U.S. intervention in Iran’s internal protests would lead to the spread of chaos across the region, responding to threats by U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene if protesters are killed.
Iran has witnessed sporadic protests that began in Tehran over rising living costs and deteriorating economic conditions, resulting in fatalities during clashes with security forces.
Despite their geographical spread, the protests remain less intense than those seen in 2022.
