Pakistan and China called on Monday for further “concrete and credible” steps to eliminate terrorist organizations based in Afghanistan and to prevent Afghan territory from being used to carry out armed attacks against any country, according to a joint statement.

The statement was issued following talks in Beijing between Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, during which the two sides discussed regional security concerns and ways to strengthen cooperation in countering terrorism.
