The White House said on Tuesday that U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration is considering several options to annex Greenland, including the possible use of military force.
In a written response to a question from Anadolu Agency, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that President Trump has made it “abundantly clear” that acquiring Greenland is a priority for U.S. national security and is vital to deterring adversaries in the Arctic region.
Leavitt added that the president and his team are discussing “multiple options” to achieve this key foreign policy objective, noting that the use of the U.S. military “always remains an option at the disposal of the commander-in-chief.”
