Venezuelan authorities announced on Tuesday that at least 24 security personnel were killed during the U.S. attack on Venezuela last Saturday, which resulted in the arrest of President Nicolás Maduro and his transfer to the United States.

The announcement was made by Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab and other officials regarding the casualties from the U.S. operation that took place on January 3, according to the Associated Press.
