Four journalists were injured on Thursday evening after being targeted by mortar fire from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo, according to the Syrian state news agency SANA.

SANA reported that the shelling struck the outskirts of the Ashrafieh neighborhood, without providing details on the identities of the injured journalists or the media outlets they work for.

The agency added that the SDF also directly targeted the Aleppo Directorate of Culture building later on Thursday, causing material and structural damage, with no reports of additional casualties.
