Thousands gathered at Enqelab Square in Tehran following a call by President Masoud Beizhkian to support state institutions and mourn security personnel reportedly killed during two weeks of protests.
Participants waved national flags, and official speeches blamed “rioters” for the deaths.
Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf described the clashes as a “war against terrorists,” noting that Iran is facing simultaneous political, economic, and psychological challenges.
No official casualty toll has been confirmed, though Tasnim agency reported 109 security personnel killed, while other official sources cited additional fatalities in various provinces.
