At least 22 people were killed and more than 30 others injured after a crane collapsed onto a railway line and struck a passenger train in northern Thailand, local authorities said on Wednesday.
Thatchaphon Chenaung, a local police official in Nakhon Ratchasima province, told Agence France-Presse that “22 people were killed and more than 30 injured.”
The accident occurred early Wednesday morning when a crane fell onto the railway tracks, hitting a passenger train in Nakhon Ratchasima, located northeast of the capital Bangkok.
