Libya concluded the fourth edition of its Libya Energy and Economy Summit on Friday after signing energy agreements with expected revenues exceeding $376 billion, the Government of National Unity said.
The summit, held in Tripoli from Jan. 24 to Jan. 26, 2026, drew broad international participation, including 19 companies from France, 17 from the United States, 16 from the United Kingdom, six from Italy and four from Turkey, according to a statement posted by the government’s “Our Government” portal on Facebook.
Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah said in a post on social media platform X that the agreements, signed through Waha Oil Company, a subsidiary of Libya’s National Oil Corporation, aim to raise production capacity to up to 850,000 barrels per day.
He added that the deals reflect “strengthening Libya’s relations with its largest and most influential international partners in the global energy sector,” helping to generate additional resources for the national economy.
