NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska said on Monday that the alliance’s summit due to be held in Ankara in July would focus on implementing previously agreed decisions and delivering tangible results.
Speaking at the Oslo Security Conference in Norway, held under the theme “The Transatlantic Partnership Facing the New Normal,” Shekerinska said the emphasis would be on turning commitments into action.
She noted that at the NATO summit in The Hague in June 2025, all allies were persuaded to agree on allocating up to 5% of their gross domestic product to defence spending by 2035.
“The Ankara summit will focus on implementing decisions and producing concrete outcomes,” she said.
