Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi began a visit to the United Arab Emirates on Monday, where he is set to meet UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Egypt’s presidency said.

In a statement, the presidency said Sisi arrived in the Emirati capital on a “brotherly visit” and was received at Abu Dhabi International Airport by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, along with Egypt’s ambassador to the UAE and members of the Egyptian embassy.

The presidency said the talks will focus on strengthening bilateral relations across various fields, as well as enhancing consultation and coordination on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The UAE’s state news agency WAM also reported that Sisi arrived in the country on a “brotherly visit”.
