Sudan Doctors Network Says 3 Killed in Drone Strike on Hospital in Sennar State

The Sudan Doctors Network, a non-governmental medical group, said early on Monday that three people were killed and seven others injured in a drone attack it attributed to the Rapid Support Forces on Al-Mazmoum Hospital in Sennar state in southeastern Sudan.

In a statement, the group said the strike took place on Sunday evening and that one of the injured was a member of the medical staff.

The network said targeting health institutions constitutes a “blatant violation of international laws that prohibit attacks on medical facilities and healthcare workers.”

It added that such incidents worsen civilian suffering and deprive people of access to medical services.

There was no immediate comment from the Rapid Support Forces on the allegation.
