U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he plans to engage in resolving what he described as a dispute between the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, expressing confidence that it could be settled “easily.”

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said he had not yet been involved but intended to do so. “No, I haven’t engaged, but I will,” he was quoted as saying by CNN.

“I can solve it easily. Yes, there is a dispute between them, and we can resolve it easily,” Trump added.

“I find solutions to wars and many disputes between countries, and you’ve noticed that. This is a dispute that is easy to solve,” he said.

There was no immediate comment from the UAE or Saudi Arabia on Trump’s remarks.
