The 62nd Munich Security Conference (MSC 2026) opened in Munich, Germany, bringing together world leaders and senior policymakers to discuss international security, regional conflicts, artificial intelligence, energy policy, and cybersecurity.
The first day saw the participation of heads of government, defense ministers, and foreign ministers addressing current tensions, particularly the war in Ukraine and risks in the Middle East.
Ukrainian leaders called for accelerating the delivery of air defense systems, including Patriot missiles and NASAMS systems, to counter repeated attacks, stressing that sustained international support is essential to prevent further escalation and safeguard stability.
