Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei stressed in a speech broadcast on state television the need to continue closing the Strait of Hormuz as a tool to pressure what he described as the enemy.

He also called for the immediate closure of all US bases in the region, saying those bases would be targeted by attacks.

Khamenei further emphasized the importance of national unity and urged citizens to participate widely in Quds Day.
