Iraq: Six U.S. Soldiers Killed in Refueling Aircraft Crash in Western Iraq

The United States Army announced that six service members were killed when a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker crashed in western Iraq.

United States Central Command said all crew members aboard the aircraft died in the incident, adding that the crash was not caused by hostile or friendly fire. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.

The incident raises the number of U.S. military personnel killed since the start of the war with Iran to 13.
