At least 11 people were killed and 15 others injured on Tuesday in US-Israeli strikes targeting Iran’s Markazi province, according to Iranian officials.

Deputy Governor Hassan Kamari said the attacks directly hit three residential areas, causing four buildings to collapse completely and severely damaging four others.

Iranian media reported that the strikes were concentrated in the Mahallat area and continued overnight.

The attacks come amid an ongoing war since February 28 between the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other, which has resulted in hundreds of casualties and escalating regional tensions.

Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks on Israel, as well as strikes on what it describes as US interests in the region, some of which have caused civilian casualties and infrastructure damage.
