Russia Claims Control of Luhansk Borders, Advances Across Eastern Ukraine Frontlines

Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that its forces have secured full control over the administrative borders of Ukraine’s Luhansk region in the southeast, marking a significant battlefield development.

The ministry also reported substantial advances along frontline positions, particularly in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, bringing Russian forces closer to their stated objective of forcing Ukrainian troops to withdraw entirely from the Donbas.

Moscow aims to establish a new boundary line with Ukraine as part of its broader military strategy to consolidate territorial gains in the east.

The advances come as global attention is focused on escalating developments in the Iran conflict, allowing Russia to strengthen its positions through intensified operations along the frontlines.
