Official data released by the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) revealed that 365 American service members have been wounded in combat operations since the launch of the “Epic Rage” operation approximately five weeks ago, while the death toll remains unchanged at 13.
According to the data, ground forces sustained the highest number of injuries, with 247 personnel affected, followed by 63 from the Navy, 19 Marines, and 36 from the Air Force.
In the same context, CNN quoted a Pentagon official as saying that more than 75% of the injuries among U.S. troops are classified as traumatic brain injuries (TBI), a condition caused by an external force impacting the head.
Symptoms of such injuries include headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and loss of consciousness, with severity varying depending on the intensity of the impact.
