Around 100,000 Palestinians performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, marking the first Friday after its reopening following a closure that lasted more than 40 days imposed by Israeli authorities.
The Islamic Waqf Department stated that the large turnout reflects Palestinians’ commitment to their rights at the mosque.
The mosque’s director emphasized that the influx of worshippers sends a clear message about the site’s Islamic identity despite ongoing restrictions and tensions.
