Vance: Trump Seeks “Comprehensive” Deal with Iran, Rejects Limited Agreement

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said on Tuesday that President Donald Trump is seeking a “comprehensive” agreement with Iran, rather than a limited deal, as negotiations continue between the two sides.

Speaking at an event in Georgia, Vance affirmed that Washington will persist in its diplomatic efforts to achieve a broad agreement, expressing optimism about the outcome.

He described the ongoing talks as “part of a broader strategy,” linked to the temporary ceasefire that has been in place for about a week, indicating continued engagement between the parties.

Outlining Trump’s approach, Vance said: “The president wants a big deal. What we’re offering Iran is very simple—if you are willing to behave like a normal country, we are ready to treat you economically like a normal country.”

He reiterated that Trump “does not want a limited deal,” while confirming that the temporary truce remains in effect, signaling that negotiations are still ongoing.
