Indonesia’s geophysics agency announced on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, that a 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Timor Island.

The agency confirmed that there is no risk of a tsunami following the quake.

It added that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 31 kilometers beneath the surface, according to Reuters.

No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been issued.
