Brazil legend Cafu believes the 2026 World Cup represents the perfect opportunity for his country to win the title for the first time since 2002 and claim a sixth crown.

Speaking in Madrid during the Laureus World Sports Awards, Cafu said the timing is ideal after 24 years without a World Cup triumph.

He added that the appointment of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti brings valuable experience and a winning mentality to the squad.

Cafu also noted that Brazil already has strong midfield and attacking options, with Ancelotti focusing on strengthening the defense ahead of the tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
