Russian authorities said Ukraine launched a large-scale drone attack on the Moscow region, describing it as the biggest operation of its kind since the outbreak of the war. The attack reportedly killed four people and injured others.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said it shot down more than 550 drones in less than 24 hours, including dozens that targeted the capital.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the attack came in response to recent Russian strikes on Kyiv, adding that Russian defenses “failed to prevent a breach of the airspace around Moscow.”
