Tensions between the United States and Cuba have escalated after intelligence reports claimed that Havana possesses more than 300 military drones with Russian and Iranian support, along with possible plans to target U.S. sites, including the Guantanamo base.

Axios reported that Washington is increasingly concerned about growing military cooperation between Cuba and Iran. CIA Director John Ratcliffe reportedly visited Havana to warn Cuban authorities against any hostile moves.

Washington also signaled the possibility of additional measures and sanctions against the Cuban government.
