U.S. President Donald Trump announced the suspension of a planned military strike against Iran following a request from the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Trump wrote on Truth Social that he had instructed the U.S. military not to proceed with the operation while maintaining full readiness for any potential military action should ongoing negotiations fail.
Meanwhile, Tehran confirmed the continuation of indirect contacts with Washington through Pakistani mediation, as regional tensions continue to rise over Iran’s nuclear program and maritime security in the Gulf.
