U.S. President Donald Trump warned on Saturday that Iran would “cease to exist” if the United States were forced to resume the war, accusing Tehran of violating the ceasefire agreement.
His remarks came after U.S. Central Command announced airstrikes on multiple sites inside Iran, including missile and drone storage facilities as well as coastal radar installations, in response to Iranian attacks targeting commercial shipping.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the strikes were carried out because Iran had once again violated the ceasefire.
He added that the situation could reach a point “where rational action is no longer possible,” warning that the Islamic Republic of Iran would “cease to exist” if the conflict escalated further.
