Netanyahu Orders Military to Destroy Hezbollah Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the military to destroy Hezbollah’s infrastructure in southern Lebanon, including all facilities above and below ground, as well as tunnels.

During a visit to Israeli troops, Netanyahu said the military should leave no Hezbollah site used to launch attacks against Israel, stressing that forces should act immediately against any perceived threat.

He also stated that Israeli forces would not withdraw from the border area until Hezbollah is fully disarmed and no longer poses a threat.

Netanyahu described Hezbollah as the “most important link” in Iran’s regional alliance, claiming that only about 8 percent of the group’s estimated stockpile of 150,000 rockets and missiles remains.

He added that establishing buffer and security zones separating Hezbollah from northern Israel was the military campaign’s most significant achievement. Lebanese media estimate that Israel currently controls about 620 square kilometers in southern Lebanon, roughly 6 percent of Lebanon’s territory.
