Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that Tehran’s proposal to the United States to reopen the Strait of Hormuz remains on the table, urging Washington to accept Iran’s conditions to resume negotiations.
Iranian media quoted Araghchi as saying that the proposal would allow the strait to reopen within six days of U.S. acceptance of the conditions, with negotiations scheduled to begin on the seventh day.
The foreign minister did not disclose the details of the proposed conditions, and no official U.S. response to the offer had been reported.
The proposal comes amid escalating military tensions and disruptions to maritime navigation, raising concerns about the potential impact of prolonged restrictions on global energy supplies and international trade.
