In Israeli airstrikes on Gaza on Wednesday evening, 20 Palestinians were killed and others, including children, were injured, despite the announcement of a ceasefire agreement set to take effect on Sunday.
Medical sources reported that the death toll rose to 15 in an attack on a residential area in Gaza City, and the bombing also resulted in several injured and missing. Civil defense workers stated that the airstrikes destroyed an apartment building in the Al-Nasr area, killing children and women.
In another attack, 3 Palestinians were killed in an airstrike on the “Nabeih” family’s home in Gaza, and 2 Palestinians were killed in a strike on the “Al-Lahham” family’s house in Khan Younis.
Despite the ceasefire agreement, injuries continued to arrive at hospitals, including 8 children.
