Malian Forces Regain Control After Islamist Attack on Capital

Malian forces managed to subdue the Islamist militants who attacked a training camp and the airport in the capital on Tuesday.
The clashes resulted in the deaths of some soldiers, while a group linked to Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attack. Additionally, Army Chief of Staff Omar Diara stated that the militants attempted to infiltrate the Faladié military police school, but government forces were able to neutralize the attackers.
A security official inside the camp confirmed the arrest of at least 15 suspects, while the army reported casualties without specifying the numbers.
