China has carried out a test launch of a reusable space rocket that can be used several times, SpaceNews reported on Wednesday.
According to the newspaper, the test launch of China’s Longxing-2 rocket took place on 19 January at 06:00 Moscow time from a site near the coastal city of Haiyang in eastern China’s Shandong province, and the rocket was able to reach an altitude of 75 km, and that the Shanghai Academy of Space Technology, the rocket’s developer, had previously announced the launch but did not reveal the results of the tests after the operation.
The magazine pointed out that “China’s success in launching the rocket to high altitudes is an important step for the country in the field of launching reusable rockets.
