The Foreign Ministers of Japan, the United States, Australia and India have held Quad Framework talks in Washington, DC.
The meeting took place yesterday at the US State Department, now led by new Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and was attended by Japanese Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong and Indian Foreign Secretary Subramaniam Jaishankar.
Participants reaffirmed the Quad’s shared commitment to promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific following the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.
