Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced on Friday that the withdrawal of the Israeli army from southern Lebanon will be postponed beyond the sixty days stipulated in the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

Netanyahu indicated that “the gradual withdrawal process will continue in full coordination with the United States,” explaining that Lebanon has not yet fully complied with its obligations under the ceasefire agreement.
