Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni arrived in Jeddah, western Saudi Arabia, on Saturday evening for her first visit to the kingdom.
She will meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to discuss increasing trade between the two countries, which reached approximately $10.8 billion in 2023.
According to International Trade Center data, Saudi Arabia exports to Italy worth $4.921 billion, including $737 million in non-oil exports, while importing from Italy worth $5.875 billion. The kingdom is Italy’s second-largest trading partner in the region.
