Libya: 3 Million Foreign Workers Threaten Demographic Security

The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in the interim Government of National Unity, Ali Al-Abed, revealed that there are more than 3 million foreign workers in Libya, which poses a threat to demographic security, noting that these workers are not paying the taxes owed to the state.
This statement was made during his speech at the opening of the fourth meeting of labor and rehabilitation office directors on Sunday in Tripoli.
Al-Abed emphasized the importance of organizing the Libyan labor market to align with local and global changes, pointing out that the ministry has launched projects to empower youth and develop the labor market.
The meeting also covered topics such as financial disbursements and new appointments in the public sector.
