Serbia’s Prime Minister Miloš Vucevic announced his resignation on Tuesday after months of anti-government protests over the collapse of a concrete roof that killed 15 people last November, the Associated Press reported.
Belgrade has seen daily anti-government protests since the roof of a train station in Novi Sad, Serbia’s second largest city, collapsed in November, killing 15 people.
Last Friday, Serbia witnessed a major student strike that led to the closure of many businesses across the country, with restaurants, bars, theatres, libraries and shops shutting down.
