Elon Musk Reveals Closure of the U.S. Agency for International Development

Elon Musk announced on Monday that President Donald Trump has approved the closure of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of efforts to reduce government spending.

Agency employees were informed to stay home. The headquarters in Washington was closed, and logos and images were removed from offices. The agency’s website was also disabled.

This decision comes amid a comprehensive freeze on U.S. foreign aid, raising concerns about the future of humanitarian and developmental programs managed by the U.S. Agency for International Development worldwide.
