Agency employees were informed to stay home. The headquarters in Washington was closed, and logos and images were removed from offices. The agency’s website was also disabled.

This decision comes amid a comprehensive freeze on U.S. foreign aid, raising concerns about the future of humanitarian and developmental programs managed by the U.S. Agency for International Development worldwide.
